Mastering a foreign language was never so easy!
Easy and enjoyable to use, Vocab helps you quickly build the vocabulary
you want. Whatever language you want to master, Vocab will prove
invaluable.
Vocab has won praise from language learners and teachers the world over.
This powerful program is proving better than its competitors, infinitely
better than plodding through a dictionary. Armed with Vocab you'll find you can:
• quickly memorize new words, new phrases, synonyms
• isolate 'difficult' words and phrases for special study
• use the invaluable "flashcard mode" to learn new lists
• keep automatic track of your progress
• print out word-lists for review when you're away from the computer
• study at your own customizable pace
• revise whenever you want
• retain vocabulary more easily than ever
To Start using Vocab
To start using Vocab, just double-click its icon.
For information on any feature, try Balloon Help. If you want a detailed
walkthrough or indepth information on Vocab’s features, look in the User’s
Guide (in the same folder as Vocab.) You can get quick access to the User’s
Guide from the Help menu in Vocab.
Important: Before running Vocab, read and agree to the Agreement at the
bottom of this document.
Vocab is Shareware
Vocab is shareware. Registration is cheap - only $18US. You can register
online at http://order.kagi.com/?UE9&S (or http://order.kagi.com/?UE9 for
non-SSL Secure version) or use the Register program to generate a payment
form. For more information, see the How To Register section of this document.
Registration to Vocab includes registration to future Vocab releases, and
other ‘Cab software products such as Vocab Scheduler.
After 30 days, if you haven't registered, you won't be able to save word lists
longer than 25 words, and will no longer be able to generate new lists from
problem words.
Distributing Vocab
Vocab is shareware. This means unregistered copies can be freely
distributed, providing Vocab is distributed unmodified and the distribution
includes this document, the User's Guide and the Register program. We
encourage you to distribute unregistered copies of Vocab as widely as possible.
Vocab may be distributed via any electronic or physical means. If you are
distributing it on a CDROM or similar, or placing it on a large internet site, I
would appreciate an email to tell me about it.
Registration codes may not be distributed.
How To Register
Registering Vocab is easy:
Online registration is at http://order.kagi.com/?UE9&S for the SSL Secure
version, or http://order.kagi.com/?UE9 for the unsecure version.
Otherwise, use the Register program that came with Vocab to generate a
payment form and send it to Kagi, who handles payments for Vocab.
To use Register, just open it in the Finder and enter your details. Payments
can be made by credit card, cash, First Virtual, Check, Money Order or
Invoice.
Credit card or First Virtual payment forms can be emailed or faxed. Email
them to sales@kagi.com or fax to +1 510 652-6589. You can email forms by
pressing Copy in Register, and then pasting into an email program, or
pressing Save and then attaching the payment document to an email. Email
payments are processed in 3 to 4 days. Fax payments take up to 10 days.
If you are paying with Cash or USD Check you should print the data using the
Register application and send it to the address shown on the form, which is:
Kagi
1442-A Walnut Street #392-3YQ

USA
You can pay with a wide variety of cash from different countries but at
present, if you pay via check, it must be a check drawn in US Dollars. Kagi
cannot accept checks in other currencies.
Please do not fax or email payment forms that indicate Cash, Check or
Invoice as the payment method.
Payments sent via postal mail take time to reach Kagi and then up to 10
days for processing.
After your payment has been processed you will receive an email from Kagi,
if you provided an email address. Otherwise you will receive a postcard
receipt. In your email or receipt will be your personal registration code for
Vocab. To use this code, choose About Vocab from the Apple menu and then
click on Register. Make sure the name you enter is identical to the name you
put on your payment form. Do not distribute your registration code.
